One number per card looks tidy. But a card comes in several finishes and conditions, and each trades at its own price, so one number is not the price of the copy in front of you. We made the opposite trade on purpose.

No. Snipe or Sleep is informational market data. Collectibles carry real risk, prices move against you, and nothing here is a recommendation. You make the call.
Where do the prices come from?
TCGplayer's Near Mint market price for each finish, recorded day by day. Graded cards are kept out of it entirely, and when a card has no recent Near Mint price we show none.
Why do you sometimes show no price at all?
Because a wrong number is worse than no number. If a card has no recent Near Mint price, anything we printed would be a guess dressed up as data.
What counts as a different finish?
1st Edition, Shadowless, Unlimited, Reverse Holo, Holo and Normal are priced as separate printings, each with its own chart and its own call. They trade at very different prices, so blending them produces a number that describes no card that exists.
Why doesn't every card have a call?
We track 27,428 English cards. 14,138 of them are priced under $1, or are commons or uncommons under $15, and we leave those out. Another 1,817 have no recent Near Mint price, or not enough price history yet. A call needs a Near Mint price from the last 30 days and enough history behind it, so a new set's cards join after a few weeks. That leaves 11,473 English cards with a call today. You can still look up any card: each one has its own page.
Do you cover graded cards?
Graded is tracked separately and never mixed into the raw price. A PSA 10 is a different market with different buyers.
